We have a variety of programs and offer various credit and non-credit courses each year. Choose from a wealth of educational opportunities, whether you are pursuing a degree, updating your job skills, or just want to take classes for fun. Our classes are convenient, too, since with a variety of class lengths and sessions as well as online or in-person learning.
Jackson College was founded as Jackson Junior College in 1928 and operated as a division of the Jackson Union School District. In 1962, Jackson County voters created Jackson Community College as a distinct entity; and in 1964, they passed a charter millage that still helps to fund the College today.
Today, the College owns more than 500 acres and sits on a scenic rural site six miles south of the city of Jackson, and also operates Jackson College @ LISD TECH in Adrian, Clyde E. LeTarte Center, Hillsdale, and began offering classes at W.J. Maher Campus, Jackson in 2012.

Grants
By completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), students automatically apply for the major federal grant programs.
Loans
Almost all students qualify for loans, regardless of family income. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours in an eligible program for financial aid.
Scholarships
Many students can qualify for scholarships, with opportunities for financial need, merit based, and for students with disabilities.
Work Study
Provides students with financial need the chance to work part-time jobs on campus to help pay for their education expenses.
